The DoubleTree by Hilton Toyama, the first Hilton hotel in Japan’s Hokuriku area, has officially opened, according to Hilton. Toyama, which is close to the main cities of Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya, is situated on the Sea of Japan shore. As direct international flights from a number of Asian nations are anticipated to restart in the summer of 2023, Hilton expects a rise in demand for Toyama from visitors from abroad.
Toyama Station and Toyama Kitokito Airport can both be reached comfortably by foot in three minutes from the DoubleTree by Hilton Toyama. The city of Toyama makes a great starting point for a number of well-liked day-trip locations, such as the Noto Peninsula, the Shirakawago and Gokayama traditional villages, and the famous Kurobe Alpine road with its enormous snow walls.
The 201-room, 13-story hotel offers five different types of modern guest rooms, ranging in size from 26 square meters for up to three people to 79 square meters for a luxury suite that can comfortably house up to four people. The Toyama area’s stunning natural features, such as Toyama Bay and the Tateyama Mountain Range, serve as inspiration for the hotel’s interior decor and artwork.
The name of the all-day dining establishment, korare WINE AND DINE, comes from the Toyama dialect’s term for “welcome,” and it has 78 seats, a 10-seat private room, a buffet and dining area, and an open kitchen that serves breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner.
Fresh seafood from Toyama Bay, steak, and red snow crab from the Toyama Prefecture are available to guests, along with a large range of wines from the hotel’s on-site sommelier.
At korare Bar, patrons may savor quick bites like pastas and hamburgers made with regional ingredients, as well as more than 20 wines by the glass, inventive cocktails, and sake. For visitors who need fuel on the go, the GRAB’n’GO Coffee & Deli serves takeout coffee, sandwiches, soups, cakes, muffins, and other munchies.
Inspiring banquet and meeting spaces with space for up to 100 people, a 24-hour fitness facility, and a public bath with a sauna are just a few of the amenities available to visitors.
With the inauguration of the DoubleTree by Hilton Kunming Airport in December 2022, Hilton presented its 50th DoubleTree by Hilton property in the Greater China and Mongolia region. The brand will soon be introduced in South Korea. While DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle won’t open until 2024 in Japan, DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Higashiyama will this summer.
