Fully vaccinated Royal Caribbean cruises to re-start in June

Royal Caribbean will resume cruises in the Caribbean from June. Sailing from its new homeport of Nassau in the Bahamas, Adventure of the Seas will operate with all passengers and crew on board having been fully vaccinated. All adults over the age of 18 must have been vaccinated and all passengers under the age of 18 will need to present a negative Covid PCR test result.

Starting on 12th June 2021, a series of seven-night cruises will operate around the Bahamas and Mexico. The itineraries will include two days on Royal Caribbean’s private island CocoCay. The new Caribbean itineraries will run until August

Royal Caribbean intends to start operating cruises from Israel in May and has already re-started its Singapore cruises.

President and chief executive of Royal Caribbean International, Michael Bayley, said: “We are excited to get back to delivering memorable vacations in the Caribbean, gradually and safely.

“The vaccines are clearly a game changer for all of us, and with the number of vaccinations and their impact growing rapidly, we believe starting with cruises for vaccinated adult guests and crew is the right choice.

“As we move forward, we expect this requirement and other measures will inevitably evolve over time.”
