Fred Olsen Cruise Lines Launches Five New Themed Guest Experiences

Onboard each of its sailings, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines is launching five new themed guest experiences, providing passengers with extra activities like expert presentations and in-person cooking demonstrations to enrich their journeys.

The new distinctive Joy of the Journey experiences will be offered by expert guides and will be centered around Itinerary Insights, the Sky at Sea, Treats of the Region, Scenic Discoveries, and the Ship and the Sea.

The Sky at Sea will provide open-air dawn, sunset, or starlight programs, while Scenic Discoveries will feature wildlife spotting on deck and presentations in the ships’ Observatory Lounges with an expert guide.

The Itinerary Insights program will provide “lively” lectures and brief educational sessions about the history, culture, and art of the places visited throughout the cruise. The ships’ culinary teams will showcase regional cuisine in Treats of the Region while giving visitors the option to try local cuisine through live cooking demonstrations.

As part of the Ship and the Sea experience, which will highlight Fred Olsen’s five generations of nautical traditions, there will also be an opportunity to meet the captain and crew.

The experiences are already being offered on Fred Olsen’s sailings in 2022, and the whole program will be available on all trips starting in 2023.

“Each of these experiences has been designed to celebrate what we think is special about the way we cruise, and to help our guests to really get the most out of their time on board and the places they are visiting with us.”
