Fred Olsen announce a return to the UK market

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines is the latest company to announce summer domestic sailings in the United Kingdom.

The company plans to begin services in July with a sequence of 11 departures that will be split between Dover and Liverpool and include the new ships Borealis and Bolette.

Highlighting the best of the British Isles, the summer ‘Welcome Back’ cruise programme will operate scenic-only cruises including the Shetland and Orkney islands and the Isles of Scilly. The itineraries will also call at ports featured by its by smaller ships.

Fred Olsen joins Viking Cruises, P&O Cruises, Hurtigruten and Saga in offering domestic summer voyages to the UK market.

The Borealis will be the first ship from the fleet to sail on a three-night voyage from Liverpool on 5th July. This will be followed by the Bolette on a three-night maiden voyage from Dover on 16th August.

Following P&O Cruises announcing that passengers on its UK coastal cruises require two vaccinations before being allowed on board it is not yet known whether Fred Olsen will impose a similar requirement.

A four-night sailing on the Borealis from Liverpool on 8th July starts at £549 per passenger, including £75 in onboard spending.
