When traveling to France, Brits who have been fully vaccinated are no longer subject to Covid testing restrictions.
A day after the United Kingdom eliminated the requirement for jabbed immigrants into the nation to undergo tests, the predicted relaxation of requirements went into effect on Saturday (12th February).
In order to increase tourism, countries around the world are easing travel restrictions.
Gullaume Bazard, the French consul general in London, made the statement in a tweet on Friday night.
A negative PCR or antigen test result is no longer required for fully vaccinated visitors from the United Kingdom before traveling to France, according to the Foreign Office’s travel guidance.
It also confirmed that non-vaccinated visitors from the United Kingdom to France no longer need to self-isolate upon arrival. However, if they are over the age of 12, they must fill out an international travel certificate to prove the necessity of travel and present a negative PCR test result within 72 hours or an antigen test result within 48 hours after departure.
The “wonderful news” of the French limitations being eased, EasyJet said.
It came after Spain said that from today, 14th February, Monday, requirements for young travelers from the UK aged 12 to 17 will be reduced if they do a PCR or equivalent test.
On Saturday, the Norwegian government lifted all Covid restrictions, with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store declaring that the pandemic is no longer a “big concern” to the majority of the population.
All remaining access restrictions have been eliminated, including rules on social separation, mask-wearing, and isolation.
According to Store, “The primary objective of the ‘live with’ strategy is for us to be able to live with Covid-19 in a way that minimizes the burden on the individual and on society.
“Going ahead we need to be well prepared to handle possible outbreaks of Covid-19 and new virus variants.”
