From next month, over-65s in France will be able to travel, eat in restaurants, and visit museums only if they have received a Covid booster shot.
According to the BBC, new laws will take effect on 15th December. President Macron stated that from that date forward, proof of a booster vaccination would be required to renew the validity of a health card.
In July, the health pass became mandatory in France. Most museums and cinemas, as well as train and aircraft travel, need it as proof of immunization, a negative test, or a recent recovery from Covid.
France will make booster vaccines available to adults aged 50 to 64 starting next month, citing the fact that more than 80% of Covid patients now being treated in intensive care units are over 50.
