In Taipei, Four Seasons has begun building a 31-story hotel that is expected to open in the near future.
The Four Seasons Hotel Taipei will be situated in the Xinyi District, just across from Taipei 101, one of the world’s highest towers and one of Asia’s most recognizable skyscrapers. Since Taipei 101 is one of the city’s main tourist attractions and home to upscale shopping, art galleries, and a variety of businesses, along with the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation, the hotel is anticipated to draw both leisure and business travelers.
The hotel will include 260 rooms with views of the city and the mountains. A high-end Chinese restaurant, a destination bar, a speciality restaurant, an all-day restaurant, a pool bar, and a lobby lounge will all be available for dining.
The 180-meter-tall building will also have conference and event facilities, an elite club lounge, and a fitness center with an outdoor pool and spa. RSHP, an architecture firm, will direct the plan.
President of international business development and portfolio management Bart Carnahan said: “Taipei has long been a target destination for Four Seasons as we look to expand our presence in Asia’s most important cities. This project will be a destination of choice in Taipei for both locals and travellers, combining thoughtful design, world-class restaurants and bars, and of course personalised service by incredible Four Seasons people.”
Construction is underway and in a statement the brand said it “is anticipated to be complete in a few years’ time.”
