As demand for travel to Asia increases, Finnair is starting up flights to Osaka next summer.
As it rebuilds its Japanese network, the carrier will reopen a service from Helsinki to the port city of Japan on 26th March.
Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will see Airbus A350 flights between Helsinki and Osaka.
Flights from London to Helsinki on a roundtrip basis begin at £971.
In addition to its present daily service to Tokyo Haneda, Finnair will add four more weekly flights to Tokyo Narita during the summer, expanding its current winter operation.
Additional flights are being added to provide daily frequencies to Delhi and Hong Kong.
Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Dublin connections are all possible according to the timing of the services.
British Airways and Japan Airlines provide codeshare flights between Helsinki and Japan on behalf of Finnair.
Ole Orver, chief commercial officer, said: “We are happy to be able to respond to the increasing travel demand between Europe and key Asian destinations.
“In summer 2023, we will be operating 14 weekly connections between Finland and Japan, and we have daily connections to Delhi and Hong Kong.
“Helsinki airport with its spacious new facilities offers an excellent experience both for customers visiting Finland and for those who continue onwards to one of our many European destinations.”
