Finnair has now implemented a new food and beverage service on all flights that are aimed to be environmentally friendly. Customers in Business Class on intercontinental flights now receive a tiny amuse bouche and a starter, followed by the main course, dessert, and cheese. As an ambush bouche is more usually provided in business class, this appears to be an enhancement.
Oat milk, the airline’s new dairy-free option, is also available to long-haul Business Class passengers. When many other airlines are cutting back because of the epidemic, it’s excellent to see more diversity being offered.
People in business class can choose from three main course options: Benella rainbow trout, a Japanese-inspired chicken meal, or a plant-based option that embraces Indian flavors.
In addition, Business Class passengers receive a lighter second service, snacks, and refreshments, as well as a range of wine, spirits, and other beverages. When it launches, it will be interesting to see if the “lighter” second meal is actually a reduction. However, given that the majority of their long-haul trips are only a few hours long, it appears to be appropriate thus far.
