On Monday (26th July ), Finland relaxed its border regulations, allowing fully vaccinated travelers from the United Kingdom to enter with no additional quarantine or testing requirements.
Travelers must have completed their vaccination course at least 14 days prior to arrival and provide proof of vaccination status via the NHS app or letter.
Finland is currently on the UK government’s amber list, which means that fully vaccinated travelers can return without being quarantined.
Visit Finland’s director, Kristiina Hietasaari, said: “We look forward to welcoming UK travelers back to explore our 188,000 lakes, the forest which covers more than 70% of our land and, of course, cities such as our capital Helsinki, renowned for its artistic and cultural offerings as well as its vibrant and innovative culinary scene.”
The tourist board is promoting the country as the “ideal post-pandemic destination” thanks to its adventure opportunities, space, privacy and the “great outdoors”.
