Finland no longer requires fully vaccinated visitors from the United Kingdom to submit a negative Covid-19 test result.
Visitors can utilize the UK’s proof of Covid-19 immunization record, but their final vaccine dose must have been given at least seven days prior to departure.
According to the most recent UK Foreign Office recommendations for Finland, “You must present proof that you have been fully vaccinated to enter Finland, otherwise you will need to demonstrate an essential or compassionate reason to enter.”
It added: “Proof of a full series of vaccinations is valid for nine months. If you have had a booster shot, the proof of vaccination will be valid until further notice.
“Proof of recovery from Covid-19 will not be accepted for travellers from the UK demonstrating their Covid-19 status.”
Vaccination center appointment cards from the NHS should not be used to prove immunization status.
The Foreign Office’s recommendation also stated: “If you’re not fully vaccinated, you will only be allowed to enter Finland if you can provide evidence of an essential or compassionate reason for entry. This does not include tourism.”
However, if a visitor from the United Kingdom recovers from Covid-19 and receives one vaccine dosage, the Finnish authorities will consider them completely immunized. They’ll have to demonstrate this on a single certificate.
If they are accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult guardian, visitors born in 2007 or later are exempt from Finland’s Covid-19 entrance rules and do not need to present proof of vaccination or take a test.
