By 1st November, Fiji intends to open its borders to international tourism. Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama of Fiji revealed this when he announced that the country would reopen tourism in November.
“That’s the aim we’ve set now, and it’s based on the success we’ve had with the vaccine campaign,” the Prime Minister added.
The ultimate goal, according to Fiji’s tourism minister, Faiyaz Koya, is to securely restore quarantine-free travel. “So, in order to get there, we need to re-establish trust as a tourism destination first and foremost, and Tourism Fiji will play a vital role in building this particular trust,” he said.
Fiji is a beautiful island country in Melanesia with an archipelago of over 330 islands. There are 110 permanently inhabited islands among them.
The region is known for its scenic and clean beaches, with Nadi, the Coral Coast, Denarau Island, and the Mamanuca Islands among the most popular.
In addition, the location is home to a lot of soft coral reefs, making it an ideal location for scuba diving. Divers consider Yasawa Island, Denarau Island, and Beqa Lagoon to be paradises.
