Explora Journeys has introduced two group programs aimed at bookings of at least ten or twenty persons, as well as improved its ‘By Appointment’ service.
Customers can now be invited on a ‘By Appointment +’ call to allow Explora Journeys’ ambassadors to address questions and finalize bookings.
When MSC Cruises’ new luxury brand began in June last year, it stated that the service “removes any hold period and is solely offered to travel agencies.”
The ‘Journey Together’ program is intended for small groups as well as extended multi-generational engagements. Bookings for five suites and a minimum of ten people are required.
The ‘Journey Together Plus’ program requires a minimum of 10 suites and 20 guests and provides agents with a complimentary host suite, “rewarding commissions,” and lower-priced “value” flights in order to “substantially boost their earning potential.”
Travel agents can also submit full ship charter requests, which are negotiated separately of the Journey Together programs based on the duration of the customized cruise and the time of year.
Chris Austin, chief sales officer, stated: “Designing our Journey Together group programmes and developing our By Appointment + service has been a highly collaborative process with the travel advisor community.
“We are enormously proud to launch these industry-leading programmes to protect the health and longevity of the travel advisor community.”
Bookings for the Explora I’s inaugural Inaugural Collection begin in May 2023.
According to CEO Michael Ungerer: “We are firmly on track for our maiden journey from Barcelona to Athens in May 2023.
“We remain absolutely committed to providing our travel advisor community the resources and customised solutions to ensure mutual success for the long term.”
