Airbus A380 flights from London to Dubai are now offered twice daily by British Airways. Get ready to be disappointed since, depending on when it departs from London Heathrow, it will only be at that level from 29th October to 13th November. It will be the first time BA, which deployed the double-decker to the UAE for the first time in April 2019, has had this many services by it. To make room for it, it temporarily evacuated the A380 from Chicago O’Hare.
29th October – 13th November
When all equipment is taken into account, BA will increase its existing 19 weekly Dubai flights to three times daily service this winter. This winter, instead of the three weekly flights it operated in the summer, it had planned a daily A380 service. The busiest travelling season is winter.
According to the carrier’s most recent schedule update to OAG and Cirium, the quadjet will now be used on two flights. There are 469 seats total on the type, including 14 in first class, 97 in business class, 55 in premium economy, and 303 in economy. It temporarily takes the place of the 787-9/787-10 planned flight, adding up to 253 extra seats for each departure.
The following schedule is available for reservations; all times are local. The extra A380 is on the flight leaving the UK at 20:40, the last of which takes off on 13th November. The last return flight from Dubai leaves on 14th November at 10:00.
Dubai-Heathrow A380 flights
As you are aware, the world’s top airport pairing for A380 flights is Heathrow-Dubai. Eight daily departures by type will be offered by BA and Emirates between 29th October and 13th November. The following most popular has three everyday.
Eight daily services are the joint highest number to date, according to analysis of schedules done with Cirium. When Emirates and Qantas both used the double-decker in March 2018, it had that many passengers regularly for the last time. Naturally, Qantas has now started operating flights from Sydney to Heathrow through Singapore.
11 times each day after Abu Dhabi
On July 25, the day after this piece is written, Etihad will start using the A380 between Abu Dhabi and Heathrow. From 1st November it will triple daily after starting off as daily and gradually increasing to 13 times weekly.
Although it will only be 11 per day for a brief period of time, it will return to having the joint-highest number of A380 flights between Heathrow and the UAE. After that, it will decrease to 10 each day.
