In order to accommodate the high demand for travel for the Eid Al Fitr holiday, Emirates will be expanding its schedule this week to offer 38 extra flights across six locations in the GCC and the Middle East. During Eid Al Fitr this year, more than 110,000 passengers are anticipated to travel on Emirates flights around the region. Additional flights are scheduled for Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, Medina, Kuwait, and Beirut.
In order to accommodate Saudi passengers wishing to go to Dubai and beyond, Emirates will add four more flights to and from Riyadh between April 19 and 29 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The airline will run three A380s three times a day from Jeddah and will layer on six additional Boeing 777 aircraft to cover the city’s busiest travel times from 20 to 25 April.
From 20 April through 31 May, Emirates will increase the number of weekly flights to Dammam from 18 to 21, with extra flights booked on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays to help connect passengers with their preferred vacation destinations. In order to accommodate people coming in for Umrah and others who want to start their vacations earlier, passengers from Medina will have an additional 16 flight options in April.
This year, in addition to the Maldives, London, Phuket, Mauritius, Manila, and Paris, Emirates passengers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will now travel to Dubai for Eid Al Fitr celebrations.
From April 20 to 27, Emirates’ Boeing 777 will run eight more flights to Kuwait in celebration of Eid. This year, Kuwaiti tourists frequently travel to Dubai, the Maldives, Phuket, Bangkok, London, Mauritius, and Milan.
On April 23, Emirates will add a flight to its regular schedule in Beirut in order to accommodate more passengers returning home to visit friends and family.
In keeping with Eid customs and its proud Middle Eastern background, the airline will serve specially created Eid menus to passengers on flights leaving from Dubai between April 21 and 24. Along with other mouthwatering delicacies, favorites including chicken mandi, mansaf, samka harra, samak matfi, madfoon, and Gulf style braised lamb will be served onboard.
All Emirates passengers connecting in Dubai and continuing their journey during this time will be treated to delectable treats, such as warm date pudding in First Class, a light vanilla sponge cake with white chocolate and hibiscus cream in Business and Premium Economy Class, and Batheetha, a saffron date crumble, or a sweet pumpkin Asseda, topped with roasted cashew nuts in Economy Class. Along with their lunch, every passenger will also receive a small gift wishing them a “Eid Mubarak” in the form of ashta sfouf.
On the first day of Eid, guests entering Emirates’ First Class lounges will be greeted with Arabic coffee, traditional juices like jallab and kamarrudin, mezze, lamb, or Emirati ouzi, then local favorites like kunafa and baklava ice cream. Additionally, exclusive Eid mocktails will be offered in the First and Business Class lounges. Additionally, at this period, special Eid meals and desserts will be served in the Business Class lounges.
