Emirates Confirms Second Daily Dubai – Colombo Flight

To meet the seasonal spike in demand for travel, Emirates has announced plans to introduce a second daily direct route between Dubai and Colombo, beginning on 1st December 2022.

Three daily flights will now connect the two cities thanks to the new service, which will fly as EK648/EK649 and include two direct flights and one that uses Male, the capital of the Maldives.

Except from 16th December to 30th December, when the route from Dubai to Colombo would make a stopover in Male, Emirates’ second daily flight will run nonstop between Dubai and Colombo.

The EK648 flight, which will leave Dubai daily at 16:10 and land in Colombo at 21:55 from 1st December through 15th December and from 31st December through 26th March.

From 16th December through 30th December, flight EK648 will go via Male; at that time, it will leave Dubai at 10.30 a.m. and land in Male at 14.45 p.m. Then, it will leave Male at 17.15 and arrive in Colombo at 19.15.

Flight EK649 is planned to leave Colombo at 02:55 and arrive in Dubai at 05:55 between the dates of 1st December and 26th March.
