EasyJet has added a Faro service to its itineraries from Southend Airport, which will begin in May.
From the 2nd of May, the route will run on Mondays and Fridays. Since easyJet returned to Southend after a nearly 18-month hiatus, Faro is the airline’s third route to be resumed. One-way tickets start at £22.99.
Flights to Palma will begin on 1st May, followed by Malaga the following day.
In December, a month after Ryanair halted operations in Southend, EasyJet confirmed its desire to return.
EasyJet’s UK country manager, Ali Gayward, said: “We are delighted to be able to operate flights to Faro from Southend once again, and provide our customers more choice for next summer.
“We remain committed to strengthening our unrivalled short-haul network and providing more affordable and easy connections to our customers across the UK, by offering low fares, and more choice when they travel.”
