In order to accommodate increased demand over the summer vacation period, Eastern Airways has increased capacity on its Gatwick-Newquay service.
The route is now run twice daily, but on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, Eastern will add third rotations.
Thus, Eastern will now provide 17 flights each week connecting the nation’s capital with the well-known surfing spot on the north Cornwall coast.
According to Eastern, demand for UK vacations this summer remained robust as a result of the increased expense of international travel.
For those wishing to travel for business, pleasure, or to visit family and friends, the carrier announced new frequencies that depart Gatwick at 1.55pm on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Eastern Airways’ general manager, Roger Hage, stated: “As we hit the peak summer school period, increasing connectivity for those using this already popular service is key for Eastern Airways.
“The introduction of the mid-day service now provides a greater range of options for individuals, couples and families that are relying on this time efficient service.”
The service is flown by Eastern utilizing ATR72-600 aircraft, with a 75-minute flight time.
