Domes Resorts to Open its First location Outside of Greece

On 9th April, Domes Resorts will open its first location outside of Greece.

Last November, the premium hotel chain said it had purchased Lake Spa Resort in Vilamoura, southern Portugal.

Following phase one of a large-scale renovation, the facility will reopen next month as Domes Lakes Algarve. It will be the first year-round hotel for the company.

The hotel has 192 rooms and suites, many of which have views of the gardens, pools, and lake. The hotel also houses the brand’s Haute Living Selection, which offers a ‘hotel-within-a-hotel’ experience for those looking for extra room and solitude.

Domes Lakes Algarve has its own saltwater lake, as well as four swimming pools and a 1.2-kilometer deck, as well as private access to Praia de Falesia beach.

The facility provides a variety of dining options that combine Domes Resorts’ Greek history with traditional Portuguese flavors. At Makris On The Lake, guests can have a beverage on the lake, Neo-Greek seafood at Topos, or a 12-course tasting menu with fresh and seasonal ingredients and wine pairings.

Ancient Greek practices are supposed to be combined with modern healing procedures at the Soma Spa, which uses Elemis and Godage Paris products.

Kiepos Kids Club, the hotel’s children’s program, provides an environmentally aware approach with participatory and educational experiences such as encouraging children to plant their own greens, herbs, and flowers.

Clam and oyster picking, birding, sailing, and wine tasting are all available at the hotel. Vilamoura’s famous marina, the wetlands, Ria Formosa Natural Park, restaurants, beach clubs, and golf courses are all within walking distance of the hotel.

Domes Lake Algarve will be renovated again in 2023 to improve the property’s offerings. This will involve the construction of an adult-only beach club and swimming pool, as well as the implementation of Domes Resorts’ Core concept, which will include open-air shopping and dining options, as well as a complete renovation of all rooms.

According to a statement from the company, “After a very successful 2021 for Domes Resorts, which saw the repositioning and opening of a completely renovated Domes of Corfu, Autograph Collection, Domes Resorts is delighted to once again partner with HIP [Hotel Investment Partners] and strengthen its presence in Europe.”

Domes Resorts also has the Autograph Collection Domes of Elounda, Domes Noruz Chania, Domes Miramare, a Luxury Collection Resort in Corfu, Domes Zeen Chania, a Luxury Collection Resort in Crete, and Domes of Corfu, Autograph Collection.
