In order to increase its presence in Europe and other regions, the parent company of the luxury hotel chain Domes Resorts plans to open 50 new locations within the next ten years.
Ledra Hotels and Villas, the company that runs Domes Resorts & Reserves, now operates seven hotels in Greece and one in Portugal’s Algarve, but it has big expansion plans.
Two Domes Reserves will be launched by the organization the following year, one in Corfu and the other in Paxos. Six further hotels under the Domes Resorts brand will launch in 2019; the full list of properties will be revealed by the end of 2022.
These new additions, according to Manos Vatzolas, deputy commercial director of sales and marketing, will be in “Mykonos, Santorini, the middle Aegean, and south Aegean.”
Speaking about additional expansion outside of Greece, he stated that the company’s “first targets” include Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Cyprus.
“We’re looking at destinations which are already in demand,” he said. “Places where we believe our tailormade high-end hospitality would have a big impact. We like to bring in the locality into our hotels and showcase cultures and the surroundings. Our ambitions are to open 50 properties within the next decade in Europe and we will also turn our attentions to long-haul also. The Americas will be big target for us when it comes to long-haul properties.”
As its first standalone dining establishment, the business will also debut the fine dining restaurant Makris in Athens the following year.
According to Vatzolas, the business was looking into beach clubs, pubs, and further gastronomic services as part of its focus on being a “lifestyle brand.”
