The introduction of new daily flights from Dallas Love Field to Los Angeles International and New York LaGuardia by Delta Air Lines was proudly announced today. As it now offers one-stop service to more than 125 domestic destinations from Love Field, the carrier is eager to expand capacity across Texas.
Beginning 5th June, new twice-daily flights to LAX and LGA will depart from gate 11 at Love Field, which serves as Delta’s permanent presence at the airport. On this date, five additional flights per day will start heading to Atlanta, the carrier’s home city.
Airbus A319 aircraft from Delta will be used on the new Love Field services. There are 57 small narrowbody aircraft in the Delta fleet, giving the legacy carrier a wide range of alternatives.
The expansion will naturally give more choices for the passenger.
Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson said: “Dallas is a city on the move and on the rise, and you can add Delta’s expansion at Dallas Love Field to our city’s ever-expanding list of major economic wins in recent years. These new routes will provide our residents and workers with more options for travel while bringing more visitors to Dallas to experience all the great opportunities and amazing amenities that our city has to offer.”
Joe Esposito, Delta’s Senior Vice President – Network Planning is equally ecstatic said: “After a nearly decade-long effort, Delta has secured long-term access at Dallas Love Field, giving us the ability to serve more customers in Dallas and North Texas for years to come. These new routes that will operate from a Delta-dedicated gate signal the continuation of Delta’s ongoing investments in Texas and our commitment to serving this community with flights to their top destinations.”
