Crystal Serenity will be based in the Bahamas for a return to sailing from 3rd July 2021. interim president and chief executive of Crystal Cruises, Jack Anderson, has announced that it will be “the first ocean ship to return to sailing in the Americas, as well as the first to be homeported in the Bahamas”.
No more than 900 guests will be allowed onboard Crystal Serenity under the new reduced capacity rules. The ship will sail 100% Bahamian itineraries” until at least October, although Anderson suggested the 7 night itineraries were likely to be extended beyond that date.
Anderson said: “This is an exciting day for cruising, for the islands of the Bahamas, for Crystal and for all those who love and miss life enriching travel.”
Passengers be able to choose sailings from either Nassau or Bimini. The itinerary will include stops at Long Island, San Salvador, Great Exuma, and Harbour Island. will depart from Bimini on Sundays and Nassau on Saturdays.
The new departures can be booked from 18th March 2021 and prices will start at £1,450.
Travellers of all nationalities (including those from the UK) will be allowed to cruise aboard Crystal Serenity provided health and safety protocols have been met. Health protection measures include the requirement for all passengers to be vaccinated at least two weeks before departure as well as obtaining a negative Covid PCR test before leaving their home country and taking an antigen test before boarding the ship.
