Club Med Opens its First New Resort in the US

With an all-inclusive mountain property in Utah, Club Med will open its first new resort in the United States in over 20 years.

The Snowbasin Resort site, set to debut in December 2024, will be the French brand’s first Exclusive Collection five-star facility in America, following the inauguration of Club Med Québec earlier this month.

Snowbasin Resort will be located 35 miles from Salt Lake City and will feature 320 rooms that “combine American elegance with French savoir faire” as well as architectural and design aspects from Utah’s past.

Club Med stated the resort would be built to appeal to “any type of visitor” with accommodations ranging from two-bedroom luxury rooms, family suites, and exclusive penthouse suites, with direct ski-in/ski-out access to neighboring slopes.

During the ski season, the resort will also provide children’s clubs, all-day dining, group ski and snowboard lessons, and a heated swimming pool.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore more than 3,000 acres of neighboring mountains and valleys with guided activities like hiking and mountain biking during the warmer months.

Snowbasin recently unveiled a broader proposal that includes additional beginning ski slopes, new lift systems, retail and hotel spaces, as well as the Club Med expansion.
