For entrants who are completely immunized, Chile has loosened its Covid-19 entrance requirements.
Fully immunized travelers won’t need to submit a negative PCR test or fill out the C19 form anymore starting on 1st September.
Random testing at the many ports of entry into the country will be used to maintain genomic surveillance.
Maria Begona Yarza, the country’s minister of health, said: “From September 1, non-residents who enter the country will need proof of vaccination, issued in the country where they have been vaccinated, in addition to identity documentation.
“Visitors without up-to-date vaccinations will have to present a negative PCR issued within a maximum of 48 hours. This will guarantee safety on the flight and in the country.”
The high rate of immunization in the populace “supports” the alterations as well.
