The vaccine eligibility period for UK visitors to France has altered.
If you got your second dosage before May last year, you’ll need a booster if you plan to go skiing or on a city trip during half term.
Anyone over the age of 18 must have had their primary full immunization course or a Covid-19 booster within the last nine months to be considered properly jabbed.
Those who were completely vaccinated more than nine months ago but did not receive a booster must adhere to the same criteria as unvaccinated travelers, which include 10 days of self-isolation and a compelling reason to visit France.
Children under the age of 18 do not require a booster shot to be considered completely immunized.
In an updated travel advisory, the Foreign Office confirmed: “Travellers aged over 18 and one month who had their full vaccine course over 9 months ago and have not since received a Covid-19 vaccine booster must follow the rules for unvaccinated passengers to enter France.”
The Foreign Office included information about the necessity for fully vaccinated UK travelers to provide a negative PCR or antigen test result 48 hours before travel to France in a recent update.
The adjustments took effect on Wednesday, 2nd February, and are detailed on the Eurostar website as well.
