cake with mango and coconut mousse on the budget.
Flights will be in high demand over the upcoming week because five out of the six days have been designated as holidays. Two Buddhist holidays fall on 1st and 2nd August along with the King’s birthday on Friday, providing Thais plenty of time off for their excursions.
What actions did THAI take previously?
The national airline of Thailand has always taken some action to commemorate the birthday of the queen. In 2019, the airline expanded the availability of exotic desserts across its local and international network, including crowd-pleasers such Thai pudding with mango. The airline gave one of its Boeing 777-300ERs the “Royal Barge” livery that year to mark the coronation of the reigning monarch, Vajiralongkorn.
A variety of curries and desserts have been served in Thailand to commemorate the birth of Sirikit, the beloved Queen Mother of Thailand. While King Bhumibol was in power, the airline also offered special dinners on his birthday in December, albeit with a more Western flair. on instance, in 2013, first class passengers were fed duck breast with foie gras, while those in business class were treated to duck sausage and truffle lasagna.
