The Cayman Islands has announced that it would begin the next step of its reopening plan on 2oth November by lifting the quarantine for vaccinated visitors.
The island has been subject to limitations for over two years, but “many travelers are already looking to winter sunspots for their next therapeutic break,” according to the statement.
Kenneth Bryan, the Minister of Tourism, stated: “The health and security of our residents and visitors have always been the government’s number one priority, and our Covid experience throughout the pandemic has been exemplary to date. With a high percentage of the population now vaccinated, we are keen to relax the current restrictions and move to phase four of our reopening program on 20th November.
“This will bring an important return to normality for travel and tourism on the islands in time for the holidays.”
Meanwhile, Anguilla has removed the requirement for PCR tests on day four of arrivals, and antigen tests will be permitted from 1st November.
Testing fees for overseas visitors have also been dropped to $50 from $200 in the British Overseas Territory. Visitors must remain in their designated lodging until a negative result is received. Guests staying on the island for more than eight days will be subjected to random day-four testing at no additional expense.
All visitors to Anguilla must be fully vaccinated at least 21 days after their last dosage, with the exception of pregnant women. Vaccines from Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Moderna are accepted.
Travelers must also submit an application for Entry Permission, which costs $50 per person and perform a pre-arrival test, which can be PCR or antigen.
