In March 2023, Capella Hotels and Resorts will debut Capella Sydney, the company’s first resort outside of Asia.
The 1912-built, heritage-listed former Department of Education structure, which fills an entire city block, will contain Capella Sydney. It is close to Sydney’s business, artistic, and cultural centres and is surrounded by Loftus, Bridge, and Young Streets.
The hotel will have 192 guest rooms and suites, all of which will have high ceilings and a light color scheme. Bathrooms typically have deep standalone bathtubs in addition to double vanities and rain showers.
Along with six meeting and conference rooms, the ground level will have a variety of food and beverage options, including the McRae Bar and the Brasserie 1930 restaurant. A suspended piece of art will be on display in the main atrium, which has a glass ceiling.
The Auriga Spa, a 20-meter pool, a fitness center, and a yoga platform are all included in the wellness program.
Currently, the Capella Hotels and Resorts collection includes establishments in Singapore, Ubud, Bangkok, Hanoi, Shanghai, and Hainan; openings in Japan, the Maldives, and South Korea are also scheduled.
