The Draycott Hotel will undergo renovations before reopening as The Chelsea Townhouse, after being purchased by Cadogan.
Three red-brick townhouses make up the Victorian building, which was constructed in 1890 and is located on Cadogan Gardens in Chelsea. Currently, there are 35 bedrooms and suites on the property, several of which have views of a private garden square.
It was formerly owned by Draycott Holdings Ltd and managed by Mantis Collection; going forward, Iconic Luxury Hotels will run it for Cadogan. The Draycott Hotel will continue to be run by its current owners and management until 5th January 2023, at which point Iconic Luxury Hotels will take over the property’s management and staff.
The Beaverbrook Town House, The Cadogan Hotel, and 11 Cadogan Gardens and Apartments, all run by Iconic Luxury Hotels, are already part of Cadogan’s existing hotel portfolio.
Hugh Seaborn, the chief executive of Cadogan, said: “We are delighted to bring this fine luxury hotel under our stewardship, as part of our strategy to ensure Chelsea has some of the world’s best places to stay that truly become part of the neighbourhood.”
Executive Director of Iconic Luxury Hotel Andrew Stembridge stated that the property’s renovation plans were being finalized, adding: “The Draycott Hotel will form an integral part of our trio of Chelsea townhouse properties.”
