Flights to St Kitts will resume in the autumn, according to British Airways.
The tourist board stated that the airline will resume service to the Caribbean island from Gatwick on 3rd October, with twice-weekly flights on Saturdays and Wednesdays beginning on 16th October.
The announcement came as St Kitts & Nevis, which is classified on the Amber List, said it would begin accepting fully vaccinated airline passengers from the United Kingdom on 1st September.
In St Kitts and Nevis, the vaccination rate continues to rise, with 72.8 percent of the adult population receiving one dose of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine and 61.4 percent of the adult population being fully vaccinated.
On arrival at the airport, international passengers will be subjected to a health screening that includes a temperature check and a health questionnaire.
They will be required to spend four days in one of eight “travel authorized” hotels before going across the island.
Four Seasons, Golden Rock Inn, Marriott Beach Club, Montpelier Plantation & Beach, Paradise Beach, Park Hyatt, Royal St Kitts Hotel, and St Kitts Marriott are among the hotels allowed for international visitors.
Before returning home, fully vaccinated international travelers arriving by air are obliged to undergo a $150 PCR exit test. If you’re staying seven days, your pre-departure test will be on day four; if you’re staying 14 days, your pre-departure test will be on day eleven.
