British Airways Covid documentation trial

All passengers that book British Airways flight to India now have the ability to upload a negative Covid-19 test results and various other travel declaration forms directly into their booking prior to their departure. The new feature by the airline as part of its effort to simplify the departure process.

The new feature on the airline’s website will certify that the documentation customers upload are the correct ones required for their flight prior to their arrival at the airport. Travellers that book British Airways India flights will receive an email three days prior to departure instructing them to use the ‘Manage My Booking’ function on ba.com where to find the relevant requirements for entry. Each document can then be uploaded and certified by the airline within six hours.

The trial will be extended for more British Airways flights over the coming weeks. The airline also hopes to add the new functionality to the British Airways app.

The key benefit of customers being able to upload the correct travel documentation into their booking, is that it enables them to check-in online, speeding up the airport process.
