A new daily route from Heathrow to Florence, Italy, has been announced by British Airways.
The new flights will launch on 26th April 2023, with an A320Neo leaving Heathrow’s Terminal 5 at 07:50.
Bologna and Pisa are both nearby this medieval Italian city, which is renowned for its art, architecture, and cuisine.
Networks and Alliances Director for the BA, Neil Chernoff, stated: “We know our customers love visiting Tuscany, which is why we already operate flights from London City to Florence.
“We’ve added this new route from London Heathrow to the Tuscan capital to offer them even more choice to explore this incredible Italian region.
“Not only is this good news for UK travellers, but also for those connecting in London to and from US destinations. The flights’ timings have been optimised for connectivity to popular routes, including New York, Boston and Chicago.”
In the summer of 2023, BA will fly to 11 Italian towns, including Florence, Rome, Milan, Venice, and Naples, from Heathrow.
Gatwick to Aruba and Guyana, as well as Heathrow to Cincinnati, Ohio, are two additional new routes beginning in the coming summer.
