Known for its collection of opulent hotels in the UK and India, Roseate Hotels & Resorts, a rapidly expanding hospitality company, today announced the inauguration of The Roseate Edinburgh, a legendary retreat in the center of the Scottish capital. The boutique hotel is an intriguing addition to the special group of Roseate Hotels & Resorts in the UK—London, Reading, and Bath.
It is a tranquil haven that expertly combines the tale of the Scottish capital city, its history, and pedigree with contemporary, modern luxury and comfort. It is spread across two recently renovated, heritage Victorian homes.
The opulent hotel has stood at the entrance to old-town Edinburgh since the 1860s. It is located in Edinburgh’s West End, just five minutes from the Haymarket railway station and less than 20 minutes by car from Edinburgh Airport. The Roseate Edinburgh is an opulent and chic urban getaway with a true Scottish heart. The boutique hotel’s distinctive, evocative decor, which were influenced by the neoclassical architecture of old-town Edinburgh, convey a timeless, subtle charm and elegance.
The boutique hotel, formerly known as the Dunstane Houses, provides 35 opulent rooms and suites, each of which is individually styled to strike a balance between time-honored tradition and contemporary comfort.
The intimate and opulent rooms and suites offer well-appointed en-suite shower rooms, handcrafted beds with Egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy bathrobes, Scottish woollen throws, a sumptuous variety of Noble Isle toiletries, and a host of additional elements that promise a unique experience. The extravagant and distinctive suites provide special amenities including four-poster beds, freestanding copper roll-top baths inside the rooms, and panoramic views of Edinburgh’s beautiful skyline, including the lush Pentland Hills.
The Roseate Edinburgh’s dining philosophy is intended to provide a superb culinary experience, and it is in line with the complete range of Roseate Hotels & Resorts. For breakfast, lunch, and dinner, an eclectic cuisine made with the best seasonal Scottish ingredients and the greatest spirits from Highland breweries and distilleries has been particularly chosen. Native to the enchanted Highlands, The Dunstane Restaurant & Bar offers over 80 fine Scottish single malts along with a fine selection of wines, craft and artisanal gins from the best distillers in Scotland and beyond. It also has one of the largest and finest selections of rare and vintage whiskies in all of Edinburgh. The name “Dunstane Restaurant & Bar” is a modest homage to the Hotel’s former name and reputation.
Dainty sandwiches, freshly baked cakes, and fluffy scones topped with jam and Scottish cream have been crafted into a typical afternoon tea experience, complete with your favorite fresh brew.
The Roseate Edinburgh is also the ideal location for business gatherings and meetings because it exudes warmth and charm in abundance. Up to 36 people can be seated in the conference space, Club Prive, which is meant to make business enjoyable. Up to 50 people can stand in the room. Club Prive Conservatory & Garden, another exquisite conservatory garden inside the hotel, is available for smaller gatherings and occasions. Up to 10 people can be seated and 12 people can stand in the Club Prive Conservatory & Garden. It is also a wonderful location for small weddings because to its unique mix of opulent rooms and suites, eccentric venues, gorgeous gardens, and excellent dining options.
