The Petunia hotel in Ibiza, which Beaumier has acquired, will get a soft renovation later this year.
The exclusive boutique hotel chain’s first venture outside of France and Switzerland is Petunia. Eight properties, spread over the Alps, Provence, and Cote d’Azur, as well as three recently purchased hotels in Wengen, are currently part of its portfolio.
Petunia is situated along the island’s south-western coast, close to Sant Josep and the Cala Carbo beach. Es Vedra, a 400-meter-high rocky island that is a part of the Cala d’Hort natural reserve, is visible from the hotel’s 42 rooms.
Eric Darde, CEO of Beaumier, said: “Petunia is an intimate hideaway with its style and influences deeply rooted in its natural surroundings. For us, that makes it the perfect Beaumier property, and we are delighted at the opportunity to continue working with the Petunia team to carry on the legacy of this family-owned hotel.”
Ibiza, according to the group’s head of mergers and acquisitions, Alexander Rae, is a “logical extension of the Beaumier portfolio.” He continued: “Petunia and Ibiza complement our existing hotels and fits with our growth strategy to continue unlocking new countries, expanding across vacation markets in Europe.”
