Barbados’ administration has relaxed the island’s curfews.
From Monday through 13th December, the new restrictions will impose a curfew from midnight to 5 a.m. The curfew used to start at 9 p.m. every evening.
Prime Minister Mia Mottley stated that the modifications were decided after lengthy consultations with a variety of stakeholders and that the curfew would be revisited every four weeks.
She also emphasized that the relaxation should not lead people to relax their commitment to other Covid preventive measures, and that rules could be re-enacted if necessary.
