Bali Lifts Quarantine Requirements for Fully Vaccinated Tourists

Bali is progressively returning to tourists, but newcomers must first undergo a three-day quarantine period. Bali officials are testing a pilot scheme till the end of the month that permits fully vaccinated tourists who stay on the island for four days or more to avoid quarantine.

Bali’s economy used to be based on tourism, so it’s understandable that they want visitors to return. If the pilot program proves to be a success, the requirement for fully vaccinated visitors to quarantine will be abolished on 1st April.

British citizens entering Indonesia via Bali for tourism purposes will be able to apply for a visa on arrival for IDR 500,000 starting on 7th March. This visa has a 30-day validity period. Previously, you had to request for authorization to enter Indonesia during the pandemic.

However, getting into Bali is far from simple, and it reminds me of Thailand three iterations ago! Testing prior to departure, arrival, and day three, as well as pre-booking of recognized hotels and obtaining travel insurance are all requirements.
