In the Brera design zone, which is also known as the “artists’ district” because of its enduring charm and regarded as the most beautiful in Milan, Baglioni Hotels & Resorts has opened Casa Baglioni. The hotel, which features interiors inspired by Milan’s art and design scene in the 1960s, is close to the greatest designer shops, galleries, antique stores, and trendy cocktail bars in the area. The building has 30 apartments and guest rooms, a sitting room, a sizable wine cellar, and a Michelin-starred restaurant run by Chef Claudio Sadler.
30 chic guest rooms and suites are available at Casa Baglioni, all of which were created by Milanese architects Spagnulo & Partners. Major pieces of art by renowned Italian and international artists decorate the halls including ”Superficie Bianca” (2003) by Enrico Castellani, ”Running Fence” (1974) by Christo, ”Assedio Rosso’ (1955) by Carla Accardi, ”Bianco” by Agostino Bonalumi and various artwork from the 1960s by Hans Hartung.
Lighting created by Panzeri, wallpaper by Rubelli, textiles by Dedar, and taps and fixtures by Zucchetti are just a few of the intricate design elements. The hotel also includes items from the “Cromie domestiche” collection by designer Gala Rotelli, a kaleidoscope of metalwork, vibrant glass, and hand-decorated craft ceramics in straightforward, archetypal forms with vibrant primary and secondary color.
From Superior Rooms infused with the art and style of 1960s Milan to the 1,216 sq ft Brera Presidential Suite with floor-to-ceiling windows, a private terrace, and a living space, Casa Baglioni provides 7 different types of accommodations.
Claudio Sadler, a celebrated Italian chef, who currently owns the Michelin-starred Restaurant Sadler in Milan, will oversee the cuisine of Casa Baglioni. Sadler Restaurant, a renowned character in the global gourmet scene, will pair his refined philosophy with exquisite culinary masterpieces, from contemporary lunches to elegant dinner preparations, along with a range of outstanding wines. With 36 seats, its upscale, private setting will highlight regional specialties and cutting-edge culinary innovation. With 850 outstanding Italian and international brands to please even the most discriminating palates, the F&B offering also features a chic wine cellar for tastings.
With the help of special tours arranged by the hotel, Casa Baglioni’s visitors can explore the Brera District’s secret spots and wonders. Visit one of the oldest Italian academies, the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, the Museo del Novecento, Piero Manzoni’s courtyard, and meet artists who are active in the Brera neighborhood as you take a stroll through the history and beauty of the Brera neighborhood. With the In the Footsteps of Gio Ponti tour, explore the works of Gio Ponti and learn about the development of Italian design and architecture at Artemide, the Pirellone, and Parco Sempione. Foodies can choose the Taste of Brera tour to discover the district’s distinctive flavors through private samples of culinary goods and a trip to Milan’s most vibrant and historic open-air markets.
