For the first time since the early 2020 pandemic, Azamara will visit South Africa and South America this autumn.
Azamara Pursuit will cruise down South America’s coastline, stopping in Rio de Janeiro just in time for Brazil’s Carnival celebrations, while Azamara Journey will set sail on six consecutive South Africa excursions.
On 20th December, Azamara Journey will return to Cape Town to wrap out a 21-night western Africa trip.
On 30th November, Azamara Pursuit departs Lisbon for Rio de Janeiro on a 16-night voyage back to South America.
The Antarctic Peninsula, the Beagle Channel, and the Strait of Magellan are all included in the South America itineraries of the small ship line, along with stops in the Falkland Islands.
Azamara strategic itinerary and destination planning director Michael Pawlus said: “With the travel and cruising industries continuing to take significant steps forward, we are thrilled to bring our guests deeper to explore even more hidden gems of the world on our four ships.
“Both South Africa and many South American countries are bucket-list travel destinations for travellers, and we look forward to our guests discovering the rich culture and local life of these unique destinations.”
