Avianca will restart service between London and Bogota, Colombia, next spring.
From 27th March 2022, a daily Heathrow service will be offered, providing around 3,500 weekly tickets.
The decision comes after the UK lifted entrance restrictions for South American visitors.
Last month, the Columbian airline declared that Boeing 787 Dreamliners will be its “definitive fleet” for long-haul flights.
Catalina Nannig, vice president of sales and distribution, said: “We are pleased to resume direct flights between the United Kingdom and Colombia, offering more and better options to our customers traveling between Europe and Latin America.
“For our long-haul flights, we will maintain the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet with an executive cabin and an economy cabin.”
