Argentina has lifted its restriction on direct flights from the United Kingdom, with flights beginning in December.
In travel advice released on 1st November, the Foreign Office confirmed the move, which coincided with Argentina’s reopening to international travelers under stringent restrictions.
The FCDO went on to say that there were indirect flight possibilities for connecting to the UK and that anyone interested in traveling should check with their airline or travel provider.
Argentina’s borders reopened on Monday to tourists who have received a full course of a recognized vaccine at least 14 days previous to arrival and were completely vaccinated against Covid-19.
Within 48 hours of travel, they must be able to show their full immunization status via the Mi Argentina app or a certificate provided by a national or state-level health authority, as well as sign an electronic declaration.
They must also show proof of a negative Covid-19 PCR test taken up to 72 hours before departure, as well as a PCR test five to seven days following their arrival.
Non-resident foreign nationals visiting Argentina must have comprehensive medical insurance that covers Covid-19 and must take “preventative measures” for 10 days after receiving a negative pre-travel PCR test result. These precautions include not attending large gatherings or taking public transportation unless special authorization has been granted.
According to the FCDO, non-resident foreign nationals who have not been completely vaccinated against Covid-19 are not permitted to enter the country for tourism purposes.
