Located near the historic Agora of Athens, which once symbolized the ideals, civilization, beauty, and history of ancient Athens, Psyrri has now transformed into a vibrant hub with trendy cafes, open-air galleries, and globally influenced bars and restaurants. This fusion of past and present sets the perfect stage for Apollo Palm, serving as an ideal base for exploring the thriving contemporary art and cultural scene in the vicinity.

Designed by Mariette Sans-Rival Studio, one of Europe’s most promising new design ateliers based in Paris, Apollo Palm showcases effortlessly modern and thought-provoking interiors. With a mindful transformation of two 20th-century buildings, the hotel boasts 48 tranquil guest rooms and several inviting common areas filled with natural light. The architectural elements pay homage to Greece’s iconic maritime heritage, with elegant curves reminiscent of seafaring vessels found in the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas. The interior spaces feature a soft and organic color palette, evoking a sense of calm and serenity. Brass light fixtures add a touch of intimacy, creating a warm candlelit ambiance, while cream and white tones dominate the walls and floors, illuminating the staircases and emphasizing the verticality of the structures. Notably, the stunning Bauhaus-style stained-glass window spanning multiple floors has been meticulously restored and preserved by Mariette Sans-Rival Studio. The hotel’s custom-designed furniture, crafted in collaboration with local artisans, embodies a distinct identity for Apollo Palm. The pieces showcase gentle contours that mirror the building’s architecture, enveloped in diaphanous golden fabrics and textures. The renowned Galerie Downtown Paris recently featured one of the hotel’s chairs from the “Lucie Collection” in a captivating contemporary design exhibition called Trônes, curated by Luna Laffanour and Romain Bitton as part of the downtown+ project.
