American Cruise Lines announced the opening of its 2023 season on 18th February when the American Star departs from Florida.
Charles B. Robertson, president and CEO of American Cruise Lines said: “2023 is poised to be the most exciting cruise season ever for American Cruise Lines. More small ships exploring in more states than ever before is the best way that I can think of to celebrate 50 years cruising American’s waterways.”
Two riverboats and two small ships from Florida and South Carolina will sail the East Coast, the West Coast from California, and the Mississippi River from Louisiana to start the new season of American Cruise Lines.
On 18th February and 25th February, respectively, the American Star and American Independence will set sail.
While the American Independence will travel the Line’s eight-day Historic South and Golden Isles schedule between Charleston, South Carolina, and Amelia Island, Florida, the American Star will start the season with a roundtrip from Jacksonville.
The American Jazz, the first American riverboat to explore San Francisco Bay and the California Delta in more than 80 years, will embark on a historic voyage from San Francisco on 24th February 2023.
Beginning on February 25, 2023, the American Heritage will sail an eight-day Lower Mississippi route from New Orleans, Louisiana, to Memphis, Tennessee, to kick off the season.
March marks the start of American’s Chesapeake Bay excursions, followed by those on the Columbia and Snake Rivers, the Puget Sound, New England, Alaska, the Hudson River, and holiday cruises in November and December.
In 2023, the cruise company will operate five riverboats on the Mississippi River and provide 11 itineraries.
