Due to “high demand for travel,” Air Mauritius has added a second Heathrow trip to its winter schedule.
From mid-November until early March of next year, the carrier will fly to and from Heathrow five times per week. From 13th December to 10th January, Air Mauritius was supposed to run a fifth “Christmas peak” frequency.
Sales Manager for the UK and Ireland Allan Owen revealed on Tuesday (27th September) that this will now run from 14th November to 7th March 2023.
On Mondays, the extra flights will leave Mauritius and arrive the next day. An Airbus A350 will be used by Air Mauritius to fly the route.
“Due to continued strong demand for travel to Mauritius over the coming winter season, I am pleased to announce Air Mauritius has extended the fifth frequency on the London Heathrow to Mauritius route,” said Owen.
“[It’s] now effective from 14 November 2022 through to 7 March 2023 (previously just covered the Christmas peak season 13 December to 10 January).”
