Next summer, Air Malta plans to resume daily flights from the archipelago to Gatwick.
It will also restart service to the airports of Madrid and Moscow Sheremetyevo.
The additional routes, which include 15 weekly flights to Heathrow, will begin on 27th March of next year.
David G Curmi, Air Malta’s executive chairman, said the carrier is working on an “ambitious” flying plan.
“Our plans are to effectively double our capacity which we will operate during this forthcoming winter period,” Curmi said.
“It is a strong commitment by Air Malta towards the travelling public and the industry. Our focus will remain on our core European markets.”
