This summer, Air Canada will resume 34 routes across the Atlantic and Pacific, including some in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
On 30th April, the year-round Heathrow-Halifax route will resume, followed on 30th May by flights from Manchester and Edinburgh to Toronto. Dublin-Vancouver will resume service on 1st June, followed by Dublin-Montreal the following day.
Air Canada’s senior vice president of network planning and revenue management, Mark Galardo, said: “This is very exciting news for our customers especially now that Omicron is behind us, countries are reopening and border measures are being eased around the world for fully vaccinated travellers.”
The resumption of international services coincides with Air Canada’s expansion in the North American market, which includes seven new routes scheduled for summer 2022 and 41 previously suspended routes.
Flights are scheduled to connect to Air Canada’s North American network, which includes 46 airports in the United States.
Galardo continued:“Air Canada’s recovery is well underway and gaining strength, and we are pleased to expand our international network across four continents as we respond to pent-up demand.
“As the leading carrier in Canada, we are committed to rebuild the travel and tourism industry.”
