2.25 million seats from the UK and Ireland to North America are now available for purchase on Aer Lingus’ “largest ever” summer 2023 schedule.
The Irish airline claimed that in response to passenger demand for more transatlantic flights, it had boosted capacity.
A wide-bodied Airbus A330 has replaced the airline’s single-aisle Airbus A321LR, increasing capacity between Manchester and New York by 72%. Aer Lingus will start additional flights from Dublin to Cleveland, Ohio, and run 17 services to the UK in the summer of 2023.
Customers have the option of flying directly from Manchester to New York or Orlando or via the airline’s Dublin base to reach a greater range of locations.
13 airports in the UK, including Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol, and Leeds Bradford, are serviced by Aer Lingus.
Susanne Carberry, chief customer officer, said: “After a highly successful year flying customers to and from the UK over the Atlantic, we’re excited to be launching our largest ever summer schedule for customers in 2023.
“This will give our customers even greater choice and flexibility when booking their summer holidays for 2023 and make Aer Lingus first choice for flying to North America.”
