A-Rosa River Voyages Lifts More Covid Measures

The line has verified that guests on A-Rosa River Voyages will no longer be forced to wear a mask, perform a quick antigen test at the start of the bulk of its cruises, or complete a health questionnaire.

The decision to loosen Covid-19 restrictions was decided after the German  river line’s Care Team assessed the current pandemic scenario and the ongoing reduction in the number of cases.

A-Rosa also stated that onboard cleaning and disinfection measures will be maintained to ensure hygiene standards are met.

Since March, the line has been running on the Rhine, Danube, Rhone, Seine, and Douro. Those who sail on the Douro will still need to be tested before embarking on their voyages.

Some of the nations through which A-ships Rosa’s travel still require different papers for admission, and all passengers over the age of 12 will require proof of full vaccination or proof of recovery.

Children under the age of 12 do not need any immunization documentation.

A-Rosa River Cruises UK and Ireland managing director Lucia Rowe stated: “After careful consideration by our experienced team, we’ve been able to reduce our protocols further.

“We continued with some measures after the legal requirement to do so was removed by various destinations, as we felt it was important to do so at the time.

“The Spa-Rosa with its sauna, gym and treatment rooms, plus our pools have also been fully operational with no restrictions.”

She added: “This further relaxation in our measures means we can finally return to offering as much flexibility and normality as is possible.”

Rowe added that the line’s “primary objective” during A-Rosa operations was “keeping everyone safe.”

The following was added: “The wellbeing and health of all guests and crew member remains a top priority and the Care Team will continue to monitor the situation, and if necessary, will adjust the protocols accordingly as regulations are amended or expire.”
