Scarpetta NYC is one restaurant that serves “elevated Italian cuisine alongside flavours of a traditional American steakhouse.” The first area visitors encounter when they enter the hotel is Anita’s Bar and Lounge, which has a big chandelier. Charlie’s Rooftop features live music along with cocktails and canapes.
The Renaissance’s traditional architectural features, like gables and columns, served as inspiration for the hotel’s design. According to a spokeswoman, there are 160 rooms, Inspired by sophisticated Italian apartments, the spaces feature a serene palette of colours, shun all sense of standardisation and aim to underscore Italian traditions and craftsmanship. The InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace, which bears the stamp of eminent Italian architect Carlo Busiri Vici, is housed in a historic structure that was initially built in 1900 to provide lodging for ambassadors visiting Rome and then used as the American Embassy Library from 1946 until the present.
