In accordance with a press statement, Carnival Cruise Line will transform its Military Appreciation Gathering into a complete Military Appreciation Day on all itineraries in North America.
Beginning on 24th July, Carnival’s fleet-wide Military Appreciation Day will be observed. Visitors will also hear announcements from the Cruise Director and Captain in addition to seeing special messages on the screen of the Carnival Seaside Theatre.
A sizable American flag will be flown in the ship’s atrium for cruises lasting four days or more.
“At Carnival, where we’re proudly known as America’s Cruise Line, we’re intent on honoring our military heroes and expanding our Military Appreciation Gathering into a full day is a wonderful tribute to the sacrifices our Armed Services personnel and their families have made,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “Carnival already carries more active and retired military service members than any other cruise line, and we are proud that our new Military Appreciation Day will serve as an incredible salute to military service members and their families.”
Military Appreciation Day will continue to be a major component of Carnival’s Military Appreciation Gatherings, which are accessible on all ships and have undergone some improvements.
By allowing guests to swipe their Sail & Sign cards, Carnival also intends to make it simpler for them to donate to Operation Homefront. A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of group images taken during the event will be donated to Operation Homefront, which is also available to guests at a discounted price. The longest-serving veteran will receive a special hero coin in addition to a special pin given to all military personnel present at the event.
A complimentary cruise will also be awarded by Carnival each month to one serviceperson and a visitor of their choice. Those attending the Military Appreciation Gathering must scan their Sail & Sign card in order to be eligible for the raffle.
On every Carnival cruise, guests who are in the armed forces will also have the chance to attend a Veterans Meet & Greet. The gathering will take place at the Heroes Tribute Lounge onboard the Carnival Celebration, Mardi Gras, Carnival Venezia, Carnival Panorama, Carnival Radiance, and Carnival Pride. Additionally, during tea time in the dining area, there will be a special table designated for veterans as part of the sailing.
The Heroes American Pale Ale is another new beer being launched by Carnival, and it will only be served on Carnival ships that have breweries.
