One of two Celebrity Cruises ships that will be stationed in the Caribbean year-round beginning in 2019 is the brand-new Celebrity Beyond.
As part of a revised Caribbean sailing schedule, Celebrity Reflection will also be based there starting in April 2024. For the first time, both ships will make port calls at parent company Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at CocoCay private island destination in The Bahamas.
In addition to Perfect Day at CocoCay, Celebrity Beyond will offer a variety of six- to eight-night cruises from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to places like Grand Cayman, The Bahamas, Mexico, the Dutch Caribbean islands of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao. Next summer, Perfect Day and Key West Bimini, also in The Bahamas, will be included in the over 40 three- or four-night itineraries offered by Celebrity Reflection.
In summer 2024, the remaining Edge class ships of the line will be headquartered in northern Europe, the Mediterranean, and Alaska, including Celebrity Apex, which will begin sailing from Southampton in May and was initially revealed in November 2022.
The newest ship for Celebrity, Celebrity Ascent, will sail in Alaska, while Celebrity Edge will be in the Mediterranean, covering Greece, Turkey, Italy, France, and Spain.
President of the queue Laura Hodges Bethge stated that “Our customers have been consistently asking for more opportunities to visit this stunning region [Caribbean] year-round and have expressed a desire for a private island destination.
“By introducing this new programme, we can offer an Edge series ship in all our top destinations for the summer season, and offer something new and historic to all our guests.
“Perfect Day is a destination like no other, and we are honoured to add it to our portfolio too.”
